  1. I use these tools ALL the time and consider them an indispensable group of tools for sculpting with polymer clay. I highly reccomend them.

I use these tools and find them very useful – Although, I did have to wrap the black part in white floral tape because the black paint from the shapers bled onto my fingers and clay. I think – but and not sure – that this reaction was caused by the waterless soap that I sometimes use to smooth the clay.

  3. Lori Platt says:

Excellent news! I use these as well. Like Patty mentioned, the black paint does come off of the handles and can get into your clay if you are not careful. Apparently it is a type of chemical reaction from the clay.

A couple of remedies for this, one is like Patty described, to cover the handle in paint. The other is to paint the handle with a varnish and seal it so that it will not chip off.

It is just a small set back to a really fabulous and indispensable tool.

  4. Lori Platt says:

bleh, I hate typos! I meant to say “cover the handle in tape”. Patty said she uses the floral tape to cover her handle. In the past, I have used masking tape but I have also varnished my handles as well. Sorry if I created any confusion in my previous post.

  5. Lynda says:

Will you be ordering the springs you speak of in the bjd tutorial?

  6. Thank you, Mark!
